David Cross is best known for his work on, Mr. Show with Bob and David, a free-associative sketch comedy program which frequently veered (after many twists and turns) into political satire. David is also a columnist for Vice Magazine, and his latest CD, Shut Up You Baby has been nominated for a Grammy award. Needless to say, we were pretty excited when he agreed to sit down for an interview with MFA. Mike and Jason met up with David one afternoon at Tompkins Square Park, where they got him to wax philosophic about the fine line between angry and funny in political humor, the failure of the protest movement and the shrill, 60′s ethos that guides it and, perhaps most importantly, the dangers of pigeon poop when filming in a public park.

Establish Friendships To Improve Your Social Life

If you want to learn how to connect with people, you certainly have to learn how to meet friends. Friends are a part of your social life. There are only a number of people who do not want any friends but most of us want to be surrounded by them.
So, for you to be able to get to know new friends or possibly more than that, here are some ways to do so.
Start off by knowing what you really love to do during your free time. If you like to drink coffee or read books then join a book club where you can share the books you have read with people who have the same interests as you have.
The internet is also a good vehicle in finding friends. Social networking sites like facebook and twitter are the best way to find friends. This has become one of the most popular methods of meeting new people to make friends with.
Sports can be a good way of earning new friends. When you watch a game, a lot of people will be surrounding who have the same goals as you have. Learn to get along with these people and you will sure have a new friend by the end of the game.
Never close yourself from the people around you. You might never know but that person with whom you always share the elevator with a work can be your good friend or that old woman who sits with you on the bus on your way home can be a good friend.
Conversations are one way of knowing what your friends’ interests are and how you can jive with them. Keep them light and funny as people tend to warm up on people who have a good sense of humor. Smile often too.
Eye contact should be done when you are talking to your new acquaintance. This means that you are meaning what you are trying to say thus incurring that you are telling the truth.
In addition to socializing, this author also regularly gives advice about name plates and tanning lamps.

I have trained my Manx Cat named Gypsy to say No when I ask her a Question. It doesn’t matter what I ask, she still answers with a flat No. I thought that if would be funny to ask her Political questions about Washington DC Politics and hear her answer. Gypsy has probably heard me tell her No so many times that she picked up on that sound. However, after Long hours of practice and patience with Gypsy, I decided to Make a Video of her Speaking and put it on YouTube! Gypsy is a Tuxedo Manx Cat that we rescued from the Sevier County humane Society when she was a 9 month old Kitten. After me and my mother brought gypsy home, Princess Sugar Pie decided to adopt Gypsy herself. Sugar Pie has taught Gypsy many many things and I have been able to teach Gypsy some tricks too. Abundant Energy Man — Anti-Corruption Crusader – Episode Two

Defending absolute provable scientific TRUTH against lethal fossil fuel lobbyist liars who selfishly try to defeat the democratic political process with billions of bad bucks and sinister greed – A Classic Sooperhero Morality Melodrama, with a monumental modern message.
Although the underlying message is profound, the melodramatic comedic format of this amateurish video is meant to be as astronomically silly as the stoopendious stoopidity of the blatantly-corrupt politicians who created our current energy crisis, in contrast to our otherwise-scientific YouTube videos. This video is a crazy experiment in political humor popularity.
Inspiration: Long before Prohibition, talking movies, laugh tracks, computer graphic special effects, or the Internet, live face-to-face morality melodrama plays were used to motivate a sobering message.
The 1874 Temperance Union and many others used “The Drunkard” and other entertaining plays to communicate with their communities.
“The Drunkard” is the longest-running play in America. It is still performed continuously in a classic theater, 30 miles from Will Rogers’ home. Rogers saw the very funny play as a young man, and became arguably the best political humorist ever.
The Drunkard starts out as an addict who verbally abuses his sweet daughter, our heroine. Before the play starts, the audience is strongly encouraged to actively participate by booing and hissing the villain, cheering the hero, and getting emotionally involved – to make it more memorable, and great family fun.
Our intentionally-amateurish “Abundant Energy Man” morality melodrama message is designed in the same vein. Even if you watch it alone, it will be much funnier if you boo, cheer, jeer, clap, laugh, and give razzberries to the words that are carefully presented to you. (You may even note some “slight” similarity to a few 20th Century Sooperheroes – Chuckle)
Abundant Energy Man’s powerful plot is in TRUTH extremely import to the entire world we live in today.
