The effect could be described as universal authenticity. This means: “it is not just about these two people as people” but rather evocative of a common human thread of value.

Whereas the throb is contained in a manageable parameter and therefore the connection might easily be cut off if too uncomfortable, a powerful tale cannot be so easily marginalized, once absorbed. It reverberates, having lodged deeper into the subconscious resonant zone. We all welcome this effect of short love stories.
