@FuttBucker667 MLK must have been disillusioned by intergration philosophy also because he was killed by the white people he loved so much. And during the time of segragation Black families were tight 71% of the family had fathers in the home. and most were employed in their own community and the high shool drop out % was 5 times lower than it is now . After the de-segragation the black community fell apart businesses closed drugs moved in, the family broke apart and unemployment sky rocketed.

I like what he is saying here for the most part but I hate the concept of national socialism. That’s what the Nazi’s believed in. I wonder what he thought of forced integration. Personally, I’m opposed to it but I’m also opposed to forced segregation. I think that as free individuals we should be able to associate with others as we choose, not as the government dictates.

@funkateerkitty. the problem with that is now there are few black bussinesses. most of the bussiness that target blacks r owned by whites & asians and increasingly latinos. it whats happen when u have uneuqual integration where blacks r forced to assimilate to be like whites instead of whites acceptin blacks as they r & many blacks tryna follow suit. few stable black areas. white can move into any neighbor raise the prices and force blacks out. it sad but it true. black people need empowerment

@Remedave1 Well, yeah, I would have to say he’s still right….self determination and control of one’s own neighbourhood is extremely important and being able to talk to your “enemy” honestly is the only way progress can be made.

Listen to this. He wasn’t just “banging on beasts”. He was telling us that we should LEARN WHAT WOULD HELP US OWN AND OPERATE BUSINESSES AND EMPLOY OUR OWN KIND. Learning math, science, engineering, etc. is not “selling-out”, but it’s what will save us!
Also, we can’t keep trying to fit in with non-Black races (latinos and asians included). Sure, japanese girls are hot, but they like anyone but us. We need to heal and love ourselves. We’ll always be in this rut until we learn these things.

@FuttBucker667 Disillusioned by this philosophy? Absolutely wrong. The vast majority of his criticisms of white America didn’t change at all. He made adjustments after his trip to Mecca because he saw how Islam changed white people, but the idea that he suddenly advocated integration and an MLK style philosophy is wishful thinking on your part. Do some research instead of trying to make the story fit your worldview.
