He’d been to several bachelor parties before, but none so extravagant as this one. Walking through the side entrance and being escorted by his friend Billy, he awed interior design and is impressed at the decorating efforts done by the group. Slews of banners hang over the ceiling, accompanied with humorous messages such as ‘Nice Knowing You’ and ‘R.I.P Steven,’ along with streams and already scattered confetti to mark the occasion.
Entering the kitchen, he was greeted with cheers and roars of laughter. The party had already started, as evident by the several opened drinks, with guests happily eating away at the full course buffet on display. He made his way over and ingratiated himself with his old buddies from school, reminiscing over the old days and talking about their current pursuits. Tyler discussed his foray into the beverage-industry, going into detail about the fermentation process and his experience in the plants where everything was produced. Mark, the man whose party it was dedicated to, talked about his honeymoon plans, plans and his fiance’s upcoming bridal shower.
When it came to my friends, Jack was always the most lively and energetic of the group. He spoke stories of his travels around the globe, including a near-death experience with a dolphin in Hawaii, along with nearly being arrested in Cuba for Blowing bubbles and drunken conduct. He talked about all the gatherings he had attended over the years, with the most memorable story being the time he got up on stage during a live act, sung with the lead singer and stage dived into a crowd of over 15,000 folks. After some time, James ordered the group to quiet down, laughing as he did so. They eventually quieted and James announced to Bill the entertainment the group had organized for him. Before long, a huge cake was rolled in on a wheels. The group could hardly contain their smiles as they sat down. James stood next to the cake and presented to Bill his gift; a semi-nude female dancer who treated Mark to a lap dance.
The group wailed with delight at his embarrassment. As an added testament to their fellowship, they each picked out numerous bottles and began to pour them over Jim, starting an imminent yet memorable food fight. Cans of energy star drinks, pastry birthday cakes and cans were hurled all over the living room; the perfect depiction of a successful party.

So, everyone at work thinks you are hilarious! People at parties always flock to you so you can tell them a new joke. In school, you won the class clown trophy and you are totally proud of it. Terrific! Now you want to learn how to make money being a Comedian. Is it time to take your funniness to a new level?
Many people are just funny, but it is not always easy to convert that to a career. Having solid and funny material is one of the keys to becoming successful. But how do you find out if your material is any good? Well, that is really the easy part. There are plenty of places where you will be able to try out your stuff. Be prepared to fail! When patrons have paid to be entertained, they expect you to be good.
Trust that one bad joke or story, where no one even giggles, will seem like an eternity, so be prepared for that, or you may just run off of the stage, which would actually be pretty funny! Being loud and obnoxious is also not a particularly a good plan. Be yourself and if people like that, you should be off to a good start.
Humor is an interesting topic. Can you determine what makes people laugh? It really should not be hard, but for some reason it really is. People at parties or at work already like you, so when you say something funny, they will respond in kind. However, when customers are actually looking to be entertained, you had better have at least a few gems come running out of your mouth or your set will not be a pleasant one.

People are constantly searching for humorous items, so if you are funny, they will find you. If you have interesting opinions on current events or the crisis of the day, your viral audience will let you know.
This industry is all about being different. There are thousands of comics and most of them make a living doing it. If you see them on television, they are full time. They may work strip clubs and high school dance, but they are getting paid to be funny. If they can do it, perhaps you have a chance. The biggest challenge is having enough material.
To be able to get on stage it is necessary to have about 30 minutes of solid material. Unfortunately, the only method to be sure that you have great stuff to say, it to try it out on real people. Although your cat may think you are hilarious, paying customers may not find a hairball joke as funny as Mittens does. The thought of getting on stage must not frighten you.
People in a club are there to laugh and they want to laugh. So, if you have a nice personality you may get some laughs. When you win the audience over, you may even get sympathy laughs! Not likely what you are looking for, but a laugh is a laugh. Most importantly realize that you will need to become callous. People want your opinion and if it is funny, they will laugh. So, learn how to make money being a comedian, just plan on multiple failures and some major setbacks. Deal with those and who knows, maybe you will become the next big star!
