POWER RANGERS SAVED OBAMA? In honor of Power Morphicon 2010, the official Power Rangers convention, I sit down with SELWYN WARD: TJ the Red Ranger from Power Rangers Turbo and the Blue Ranger from Power Rangers in Space. Selwyn Ward has the honor of being the first African-American Red Ranger and the first black leader of the Power Rangers. Selwyn Ward goes on to explain that his black leadership of the Power Rangers opened the doors for Barack Obama being President, Tiger Woods playing golf, even Jaden Smith being the new Karate Kid (for which he has “proof”).
